CVS Bulgaria

 

Novemeber 21st the Ministry of culture published the Project of the Law on volunteering and the motives on their website. The aim is to establish the legal ties of volunteering, to difine the volunteer status, rights, responsibilities and obligations. Moreover, the Law would define what is a short-term, long-term and corporate volunteering. Some of the participants in the group working on the project were representatives of non-governmental organizations organizing volunteer activities. The working group started because 2011 is the European Year of Volunteering.

The project is open to discussion till December 5th and everybody interested can make suggestions and statements about it. You have to send your comment to Ms Miglena Borislavova in the Ministry of Culture on the following email  m.borislavova@mc.government.bg.

CVS-Bulgaria is happy to present the current EVS project that we’re going to submit on 1 November.
We’re seeking for 2 EVS volunteers to join a 6-month project in a partner school starting from February 2012. The EVS volunteers will join the school life and will help its activities. At the end of their EVS service the volunteers would be able to join the camps in Bulgaria and organize some workshops for the participants.

Deadline for application: 24 October.
Decision date: 26 October.
Both the sending organization and the volunteer will be contacted with the results.

EVS with CVS – Back to School

 

In the attached file you can find the latest vacancies list of the long-term volunteer positions in the framework of Service Civil International network. The projects are located in different places in the world and the topics are as diverse as the venues.

Some of the projects are financed through European Voluntary Service of the Youth in Action Programme. 90% of your travel costs are covered, additionally the volunteers receive pocket money and monthly allowance for food and accommodation.

The LTV-labeled projects are with alternative funding and volunteers cover their travel and visa expenses. If they are accepted there is an administrative fee of 150 BGN.

We are looking for one (1) VOLUNTEER for European Voluntary Service project for the 1st September 2011 deadline.

The project starts in January 2012 and can last for, at least 6-8 months, upon volunteer’s availability.

We present you the newest vacancies list for the long term volunteering positions among the SCI branches around the world. The list is as fresh as possible, so it’s better to hurry up!

Part of the suggestions are European Voluntary Service and are financed by the European Comission and the Youth in Action programme. 90 % of the travel expenses and food, accommodation and pocket money are covered by the programme. The other positions described as LTV are financed by alternative donors and the volunteers cover their own expenses to and back to the project venue.
