Our trusted Latvian partners are looking for 7 youngsters aged between 18 and 30 years, residents of EU or EU Western Balkans, Eastern neighbourhood region countries to be a part of a European Solidarity Corps volunteering project in 3 activities in Riga, Latvia

When? September/ October 2026 – August 2027

1. Baltic Regional Fund, Youth Studio “BaMbuss” – 2 volunteers (11 to 12 months)
2. Riga Youth Centres KA?IERIS and KALNCIEMA STUDIJA – 3 volunteers (10 to 11 months)
3. ?ekava Youth Center JAUNU IDEJU CENTRS – 2 volunteers (10 to 11 months)

What and who?

1. Baltic Regional Fund (BRF) is an NGO in Riga dedicated to fostering civil society development, social inclusion, and intercultural dialogue through non-formal education. It primarily serves youth, including those from social risk groups, by implementing local and international projects focused on soft skills, personal and professional development. As a central component of its youth work, the foundation has a Youth Studio BaMbuss, which is a multifunctional and progressive space in Riga providing a safe environment for young people to learn and grow.

As a volunteer, you will be actively involved in the daily life of BRF and #jsBaMbuss, supporting ongoing activities and helping to organise events, community activities, workshops and information campaigns on topics relevant to young people and to you, like art, book, language or sports clubs, as well as activities on EU values and youth opportunities. You will have the chance to develop your own initiatives and explore different cultures. A part of the volunteer work will be the creation and publication of social media content for the youth studio.

We would be especially glad if you enjoy working in a team, communicating with young people and contributing to a creative environment. Interest in photography, video filming or editing, social media communication, and organising events would be a great advantage, as these skills can be used in many of our activities. If you feel confident leading workshops or trying out new ideas with youngsters in our youth studio, you will have plenty of opportunities to do so and to grow your abilities along the way.

The working language will be English. 

2. Riga Youth Centres KA?IERIS and KALNCIEMA STUDIJA support young people and youth organisations by offering free spaces, resources and guidance for non?formal education activities and youth initiatives. It provides rooms for events, advises young people on implementing their ideas and participating in European programmes, offers training for those involved in youth work, and collaborates with schools and other youth?sector partners. Young people can organise and join workshops, discussions, game and movie nights, sports activities and events on topics such as art, climate, LGBTQ+, participation, travel, media literacy and cultural diversity. 

Together with the team volunteers will be involved in planning interactive activities for young people, finding ways of telling young people about local and European opportunities, and doing social media work.

The Youth Centres team would love to welcome someone who wants to learn more about youth work in the municipality, collaborate and develop their own initiatives, lead non-formal education activities for youth, and is keen on “boosting up” organization’s social media accounts.

The working language will be English.  

3. ?ekava Youth Center JAUNU IDEJU CENTRS is an open, creative and non?formal learning space for young people in the ?ekava region, next to Riga. It provides daily activities, workshops, events and opportunities for young people to develop their skills, express themselves and participate in community life.

Volunteers together with youth workers will plan, organise and lead non?formal educational activities like cultural evenings, creative workshops, board games and activities promoting EU values for young people aged 12–25 in ?ekava county while helping to maintain a positive and inclusive environment. Volunteers will also collaborate with local youth to create social media content that highlights upcoming activities and strengthens communication.

The project seeks two motivated volunteers who enjoy planning activities, sharing their culture, creating social media content and collaborating with youth workers. It is ideal for creative, self?driven young people who want hands-on experience in youth work and the freedom to develop their own initiatives.

The working language will be English

To participate no specific knowledge is needed, but you should have the desire and be ready to learn, be fully involved. 

Travel to Riga. Volunteers will need to buy tickets to Riga, and we will reimburse the money within a week after your arrival in Latvia and submitting all travel documents. The amount of money regarding the EU Distance calculator. There is a budget for processing the visa documents. We will reimburse them together with travel expenses.

Accommodation. All 7 project volunteers will live in a house with two floors and have a separate room. The rooms have furniture, pillows and blankets, linen. 

The house has a common area, kitchen fully equipped with necessary things, WiFi, washing machine, a toilet and shower in each floor. The house is in a safe area, 25 min to city centre by public transport (trolley stop nearby, tram – 7 min walk), food store just around the corner.

Financial support. Volunteers will receive:

– EUR 180 of food money every month.

– Pocket money EUR 5 per day. 

– Public transport monthly ticket
