FUTURLANDS project
The project “FUTURLANDS – FUTURE THINKING IN PRESENT ACTION” wants to draw attention to the topic future thinking which has recently started to get more attention on a worldwide level but in youth work still hasn’t been discovered.
The project objectives are to raise awareness about future thinking, to highlight the importance of developing future thinking skills, and to call for present actions. Additionally, we aim to collect and create tools that help to develop future thinking skills and motivate to act at the present time in order to create the desired future.
Over a 26-month period, from September 2023 to October 2025, the project will seek to interweave future-thinking skills with present action, believing that the future is ours and we can create it. A key focus of the project is the development and application of methods that reinforce future thinking skills, stimulating timely action to create the future we want now.
The project is implemented in collaboration with partners from Bulgaria, Latvia, Lithuania, and Poland.
What is future thinking?
Future Thinking is a mindset and methodological approach that explores, anticipates, and prepares for potential futures. It involves imagining, analyzing, and planning for possible future events, considering both opportunities and challenges. Future Thinking encourages making conscious decisions and actions today, to shape a better tomorrow. You can learn more here.
